> Scripted conference Q&A isn’t innovation — it’s theater. Lottery Innovation Summit is a challenge summit: real problems in, working demos out — not panels and rehearsed answers.

## Summary

Association meetings, trade shows, and CX-style rooms have a job: relationships, policy, market intel. That is not the same job as proving product under real constraints. Prepared answers protect brands. Live demos pressure-test architecture, App Store rules, responsible play, and whether an “app” still feels like a website. LIS is a challenge summit — not a conference. Problems in → build → live demo → independent judging.

## Key points

- Conference rooms optimize for agenda and attendance; LIS optimizes for output
- Scripted Q&A is theater; a live demo is evidence
- Other industry events still matter for alignment — LIS is for “did anyone build it?”
- Bar: working product on stage, not decks
