App Store rejection isn’t a content problem

It’s a product problem. You don’t negotiate your way out of weak architecture — you design for the store, then market.

Lottery Innovation Summit · September 27, 2026 · US lottery industry

Lottery teams keep hitting the same wall: geolocation, age gates, marketing claims, “gambling” flags, endless resubmits.

Marketing rewrites the screenshot caption. Legal tweaks the disclaimer. The build ships again. Rejected again.

Rejection isn’t bad luck. It’s architecture.

You don’t negotiate your way out of a weak product. Stores reward clear flows, honest claims, and controls that exist in the product — not in a PDF attached to the ticket.

Design for the store first: age, location, responsible play, what you can promise in copy, what the binary actually does. Then market. Reverse that order and you buy a rejection loop.

If navigating App Store / Play approval is a challenge you’d put on a one-page brief, say so. It’s one of the sharpest US lottery problems — and one of the most expensive to learn the hard way.

Lottery Innovation Summit’s bar is working product under real constraints. Store rules are constraints. Decks don’t clear them. Demos do.

Real problems. Built solutions.

Lottery Innovation Summit is a challenge summit for US lottery gaming — not a conference: problems in, working demos out — not decks. Join the announcement list for when details are finalized.
