What doesn’t count:

A slide walkthrough. A Figma click-through sold as a pilot. A panel that “explores the future.” A partnership video with stock footage of handshakes.

Pitching is easy. Building is the game.

Working product means the binary runs under constraints that matter to US lotteries — jurisdiction, stores, responsible play, the weird rules that make your state yours. If it only works in the speaker’s laptop story, it isn’t a demo. It’s theater with better lighting.

That bar is why LIS exists. Not to host better talks. To force better product into the room.
